4 Methods to Elevate your Spring Style
This season can be particularly tough when it comes to styling outfits. It is that time of year when you feel like you have nothing to wear. Depending on where you live, the weather can make it hard to gauge. I’m in Canada so it can still be chilly and rainy during the Spring months. Jackets
Winter is known for trench coats and heavy jackets but the spring allows you use jackets for styling. Often, when the jacket is the main aspect of the outfit, your outfit can be very simple For example, you can have a basic outfit on but add a leather jacket and suddenly your look is elevated. My recommendations for statement jackets are leather bomber/trench coats, NASCAR/Racer Jackets, and Windbreakers. Depending on the event, you can style these staple pieces with jeans or a mini dress.
Layering
Layering is the secret to staying warm but still looking stylish. It is one of my favourite methods because you can create a unique outfit with simple pieces.
Turtlenecks, dress shirts, vests, and crew necks are some of the pieces that give your outfit more dimension. Add a light jacket and you’re ready for the day!
Shoes
Now that you can put those winter boots away, have fun with your shoes. Find some unique sneakers, flats, loafers and heeled boots to enhance your outfits. In the summer, most of us live in sandals and slides. Take advantage of the spring months by wearing various types of closed-toed shoes that you don’t want to damage in the snow.
Accessories
Accessorizing is always one of the most essential parts of styling your outfit. Add a baseball hat, sunglasses, or a belt to elevate your look. Simply laying your jewelry can also complete your outfit!
